The way from data to information

The company emac is specialised in dealing with environmental data and environmental information. We offer methods and procedures which give our clients the possibility to have all relevant data in the right form available for the corresponding tasks. The aim is to enable our client to use the enormous amount of information in the best way, adapted to their specific needs. To achieve this we analyse, optimise and set up environmental information systems. In particular we deal with environmental observation networks, systems of indicators, meta databases, data models for environmental management, as well as with planning and controlling tools for the information management.

An important tool in this field is Q-ensure, an application we have developed in collaboration with our partners (Ambio Ltd. and Xirrus Ltd.). It's a tool to record, analyse and optimise environmental data as well as the connected working processes. This allows the management of meta information and at the same time the realization of a quality management as in ISO 9000:2000.
